Business Connections host Liz Spenser interviewed OPUS Camp Music Director Ray Ostwald and Immediate-Past Music Director Diana Schmück at the Benedictine University campus. One of the Senior Camp Chamber Ensembles (Kaylin Liu, a 7th grader at Naperville’s Thayer J Hill Middle School, playing violin – Alexander Roe, an 8th grader at Naperville’s Thayer J Hill Middle School , playing piano – Dixon Anderson, a 9th grader at Batavia High School, playing cello) performed Piano Trio in Eb, opus 1 no 1 II. Adagio Cantabile by Ludwig van Beethoven.

We’re just trying to catch our breath from this year’s wonderful camp, but it’s not too early to mark your calendar for next year’s camp. It will be Sunday, August 2nd, through Saturday, August 8th. Check back here for more details over the next few months!

Reminder: Upcoming OPUS Concerts!
In addition to the Listen to Our Young Artists concert on the 9th, we have some additional events:
- The OPUS Young Musicians will perform on Wednesday August 13, from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton.
- On Friday, August 15, from 7:00-9:00 pm at Naperville Community Concert Center behind the “Y”.
- We will also conduct a one-day “Never Too Late to Play” Chamber Music Workshop at North Central College on August 23rd. That concert is 3:00-5:00 pm in NCC’s Koten Chapel.
