Since 2013, OPUS has been privileged to add to its core chamber music programs this synergistic “Never Too Late” (NTL) Workshop. This Workshop is intended for string, clarinet, flute, classical guitar, harp, and piano players of all levels who would like to make music and receive coaching in a relaxed and supportive environment. It should appeal to people who would like to but have not had the opportunity to try, who have dropped playing but would like to refresh, and/or who are in search of players to form a group.
The study of chamber music in small ensembles of two to six players develops teamwork and draws on the individual strengths of each musician. As a result, students who have had such exposure and training are inspired and strive for excellence while making new friends through producing beautiful chamber music together.
Imagine that you could make classical chamber music in a duet, trio, quartet or quintet alongside equally enthusiastic musicians of your or any age; with dad, mom, grandpa or granddaughter; and/or with a professional teacher and their teaching assistants. We would love to have you!
The next NTL Workshop will be held on Thursday, December 26th, at St. Margret Mary Parish, 1450 Green Trails Dr., Naperville. For more information and a link to the online application, click here.
